Seeking an untraditional, relaxed atmosphere with a promising startup
biopharmaceutical house with the latest development tools and millions in
the bank for drug discovery? There has to be some good science going on
here, since they recently secured a third round of funding in a tight
venture capital environment. They have two compounds in separate programs
active in a mouse. You will be doing traditional solution phase chemistry
on small molecule targets, scaling up some lead compounds and creating
compounds to “scaffold the libraries”. Requires at least three years of
pharmaceutical drug discovery experience using solution phase chemistry,
coupled with a BS or MS in Organic Chemistry. No PhDs on this one. A
senior Chemist will function independently. The salary ranges from $65,000
to $80,000, depending on level of experience, and the benefits include stock
options, relocation expenses, and three weeks vacation the first year.
Requires permanent U.S. residency. Contact Kent Kirkland, C.P.C. at
