I'm looking for group specific reactions which could be
used to identify (and possibly derivatise) N-nitroso
All reactions I found so far de-nitrosate the compound
to obtain a secondary amine and subsequently derivatise
the amine, e.g. with an acid chloride. Unfortunately,
these reactions are not specific for the N-nitroso
compounds as secondary amines react as well.
Thank you very much for your help!
